After successful approval and a construction phase affected by the corona pandemic, we were able to commission further hydroelectric power plants in the Scottish Highlands at the end of 2021.

Together with the two existing plants in Ledard and Kelburn, we now have six run-of-river power plants in operation with a total output of around 3,500 KW, which complement our portfolio of wind and photovoltaic power plants.
Three of the four new power plants are currently still affected by grid restrictions and are not producing at their maximum level. This bottleneck will be remedied by the expansion of a substation in Fort Augustus, Scotland, at the end of November.

Then we can finally feed in electricity with ‘Full Power’ and make another small contribution to a regenerative and sustainable energy supply.
